TASC staff help rural health leaders to address concerns related to improvements in quality, operational and financial performance, population health, and rural EMS. Staff also share resources about innovative model development, the transition to value-based care, facility designation, federal regulations, and Flex Program management.




Technical Resource Center



The CPTC Veterans Resource Center is a place for veterans to connect with other veterans. In addition, the center provides services specifically designed for veterans. It is not just an office, but rather a place where veterans can find and build their community within the college.


In addition to the CPTC Vet Corp Veterans Navigator, Peer Navigators are available to assist current and prospective military-connected students with accessing benefits as well as providing referrals to a number of campus and community resources with the goal of helping veterans balance their academic and personal demands. The CTE Resource Center supports career and technical education programs in Virginia's public schools by providing curriculum development and program design and implementation in response to the Strengthening Career and Technical Education for the 21st Century Act (Perkins V).

The Health Home Information Resource Center was established by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) to help states develop these new models to coordinate the full range of medical, behavioral health, and long-term services and supports needed by Medicaid beneficiaries with chronic health needs. Recognizing that states are at various stages in developing health homes, the resource center offers a variety of technical assistance services as well as a resource library of continuously updated materials. States may use the resource center to request one-on-one technical assistance, access peer-learning opportunities, and find resources to guide their health home development and implementation. Technical assistance will include working with states on developing their draft health home proposals before submitting State Plan Amendments (SPAs) to CMS as well as ongoing support during the SPA development process.

The Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU) established the Small Business Transportation Resource Centers (SBTRCs) through a network of grantees across the country. The SBTRCs work closely with the transportation contracting community and other technical assistance providers to serve small disadvantaged transportation businesses.

National Center for College Students with DisabilitiesDescription: This resource provides technical assistance and information to anyone needing information about disability and higher education, including college students, their families, faculty, college administrators and staff, disability services professionals, researchers, and policymakers.


The Interpretation Technical Assistance & Resource Center (ITARC) works to improve systems responses to LEP victims by providing technical assistance and training on the development and implementation of language accessible services. Technical assistance and training includes, but is not limited to: civil rights compliance and language access planning; interpreting for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault ; and building pools of qualified interpreters through workshops on interpretation ethics and skills building.Request Technical Assistance or Training on Language AccessITARC offers training and technical assistance to advocates, interpreters, and social and legal service providers. This project aimed to translate and develop educational resources and tools on GBV in indigenous Pasifika languages. The project aims to empower individuals, families, community-based and system responders, allied professionals, and the community-at-large with culturally responsive resources to address and prevent GBV in Pasifika communities. Resources include project report and glossaries and tools for Samoan, Chuukese, and Native Hawaiian communities.


The Building Energy Codes Program (BECP), offers a comprehensive collection of information, resources, and technical assistance designed to answer questions and address issues related to energy codes. This includes frequently asked questions, publications, compliance software and tools, and training modules based on best practices. BECP's team of building energy codes experts is also available to answer specific questions submitted through the web-based Help Desk.

DOE provides technical assistance to help states and local code enforcement jurisdictions adopt, upgrade, implement, and enforce their residential and commercial building energy codes. This assistance is provided explicitly through the DOE Building Energy Codes Program and does not support direct funding to states or municipalities. Technical assistance may take the form of:

In October 2021, the New York State Education Department contracted with BUCS to operate the Nita M. Lowey 21st Century Community Learning Centers (CCLC) Technical Assistance Resource Centers (TARC). The Community Learning Center is an entity that assists students, particularly those who attend low-performing schools, in meeting state and local academic achievement standards in core academic subjects such as reading and mathematics. The TARCs will provide a variety of technical assistance, resources, and professional development activities for the 21st CCLC programs to help them attain the 10 essential indicators of high-quality afterschool programs as identified in the NYS Network for Youth Success Program Quality Self-Assessment Tools.
